Innovation Capability Development in Ireland
Summary
As part of its commitment to supporting original research of direct relevance to our members and the L&D community, the IITD and Trainers’ Learning Skillnet are delighted to announce the launch of our latest report on Innovation Capability Development in Ireland.
Undertaken by Laurence Knell of Strategic Innovation Partners this research was designed to assess and evaluate current approaches to innovation training in Ireland and establish which are the most impactful forms of innovation and creativity training, delivering the most effective outcomes for both individuals and organisations.
Those attending will gain insight into:
- The current state of innovation training in Ireland
- Techniques and approaches used to support enhanced innovation capabilities in Ireland
- Specific methods used in the delivery and evaluation of innovation training in Ireland
- How approaches in Ireland compare to international best practice
This research was supported by Trainers Learning Skillnet and Irish Institute of Training & Development (IITD), with funding through Skillnet Ireland - provided by the Department of Education and Skills, National Training Fund.

I had a wonderful opportunity to be in the room with the trainer Cliona for two days. I want to sincerely thank her for her rapport and engagement with the group. She led the group with such precision & dexterity, enabling our colleagues to respond comfortably and confidently to the development experience. Thank you so much.
