Overview
Delivered online over two half-day sessions, after completion of the course you will be able to explain the systematic training cycle, apply the core competencies of the training administrator's role, use a systematic process for planning, administering and promoting training, review how to track training costs and monitor budgets and evaluate training and produce relevant data.

Who Should Attend?
This course is designed for those who want a greater insight into the role, responsibilities and core competencies of administering a training and learning department. During the course you will have an opportunity to assess what you are currently doing and consider other approaches that can be applied in your department to improve current practices.
Course Modules
This course consts of four integrated modules and is delivered in a highly participative and practical manner.
The structure is as follows:
• Module 1 - L&D as an integral part of the business
• Module 2 – Planning and administering training
• Module 3 – Tracking training cost and budget responsibility
• Module 4 – A day in the life of a training administrator
MODULE 1 LEARNING OBJECTIVES
• Define the L&D Function.
• Explain reasons for L&D within a company
• Identify what are the benefits from a planned and systematic approach to training & development
• Briefly describing the different terminologies of learning, development training, education job role and task
• Introduce the systematic training cycle
• Identify the administrator foundation competencies
• Introduce a strategic model of the different areas of L&D
MODULE 2 LEARNING OBJECTIVES
• Explain the difference of policies Vs strategy
• Overview of difference training sections
• Explain why a Learning Management System is needed
• Explain how knowledge management and training plans are combines together.
• Introduce various training records.
MODULE 3 LEARNING OBJECTIVES
• List reasons why a training budget is important within a company
• Identify the various differences between learning costs, training costs and opportunity costs.
• Explain the different natures of costs - direct costs, indirect costs and full costs.
• Introducing examples of training budgets files.
• Listing various evaluations models and each of their uses.
• Introducing samples evaluation forms
MODULE 4 LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Introducing a video: “A day in the life of a Training Administrator”.
Delivery Format
Delivered online via Zoom by experienced tutors.
Assessment and Certification
L&DI Certification.
