About the Course- Evaluating Learning Impact
Creating a case for increased investment in learning
In a world dominated by analytics and metrics, there has never been a more important time for you as an L&D professional to be able to create a strategic narrative for the impact you make. With increased competition for resources and investment, there has never been a more important time for you to be able to demonstrate results to key stakeholders and to align these results with the organisational strategy.
This Evaluating Learning Impact programme focuses on equipping L&D professionals with the confidence to manage and lead strategic conversations with the business that focus on understanding the key drivers of commercial success and how L&D impacts those. It will also equip delegates with some simple tools to ensure that the design of their programmes focuses in on the key issues and metrics that are of concern to the business.
OUTCOMES
By the end of the programme you will be able to:
- Separate training activity from business impact;
- Assess what internal data is available and how it can help you make your case;
- Use a simple model to create the business need for training;
- Determine which evaluation methods are appropriate to each type of training;
- Workshop evaluation models to demonstrate the impact of different types of training including leadership development; and
- Identify ways in which to communicate value to the business.
METHODOLOGY
The programme aims to maximise participation through discussion and group exercises. The style is informal and the content informative. At each stage there is an emphasis on individual action and tailoring the material to your commercial context. There is also an opportunity to workshop real examples from participants.
